The Thierry Lefort Exhibition

Beyond the concerts, the Grandes Heures de Saint-Émilion annually features a contemporary art exhibition in the very heart of the village. In 2026, painter Thierry Lefort is honored with an exhibition titled La Danse des Ombres Bleues, presented at the Salle des Dominicains, 14 rue Guadet in Saint-Émilion, from July 7 to 26, open to the public from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. (closed on Mondays).

This venue, the sumptuous Salle des Dominicains, is the ideal setting to host Thierry Lefort's large canvases. The exhibition features very large formats — works with a powerful presence — as well as a new series of gouaches created especially for the occasion. These works bear witness to the artist's travels to the four corners of the world: California, where he resides part of the year, but also Japan, Rome, and the Côte d'Azur, all luminous horizons that nourish his pictorial universe.

Music at the Heart of the Grand Crus

In 2026, Les Grandes Heures de Saint-Émilion will take place from March 19 to December 17, offering an exceptionally rich musical season. Classical music concerts in churches and châteaux, events centered around the discovery of wines and vineyards, and, as a central highlight, the Thierry Lefort exhibition.

Les Grandes Heures de Saint-Émilion is thus much more than a simple music festival: it is a total immersion in beauty, combining visual arts, high-level classical music, and wine culture, in one of France's most beautiful and emblematic villages.

The principle is as elegant as it is unique: to bring great classical music to the most prestigious wine estates of Saint-Émilion. The association Les Grandes Heures de Saint-Émilion annually invites high-quality classical concerts to the essential wine estates of Saint-Émilion.

Among the châteaux that open their doors to the public throughout the season are some of the most illustrious names in the Bordeaux vineyards: Château Haut-Sarpe, Château Fombrauge, Château Balestard la Tonnelle, Château de Ferrand, Château de Pressac, Château Pavie-Macquin, Château Larcis-Ducasse, Château Coutet, Château de Figeac, Château Angélus, and the prestigious Château Cheval Blanc. At each event, music and tasting blend in settings of incomparable beauty.
