Thierry Lefort Exhibition - Maison de Fer - Poissy

I am happy to announce an event that is particularly close to my heart. The city of Poissy is giving Thierry Lefort carte blanche and has invited me to join him in showcasing our work at the Maison de Fer, this metallic architectural gem nestled in the heart of Meissonier Park.
From monumental fresco to the intimacy of the studio
You may have already seen the monumental fresco created by Thierry at Poissy train station as part of the "A Wall, A Work" project. This exhibition is its natural continuation: a deep dive into the behind-the-scenes of its creation.
For the first time, the public will be able to discover the original sketches and drawings of this fresco, accompanied by some thirty preparatory works — drawings, paintings, photographs — that reveal the artist's creative process.
A film premiere

The heart of this exhibition is the premiere of a film shot in Los Angeles, around the pool of the famous Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica. Thierry reveals his cinematic universe there, at the crossroads of painting and moving image. An immersive audio guide system will accompany your visit.
"Thierry's strength lies in his ability to transcend the everyday. Under his gaze, a station, a bridge, a parking lot become compositions where light and color vibrate in unison."
Exhibition from April 15 to July 19, 2026
Maison de Fer — 2ter, allée des Glaïeuls,
Parc Meissonier — 78300 Poissy
Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 PM to 6 PM

Following this intervention, the Maison de Fer in Poissy will be pleased to host an exhibition dedicated to the work of Thierry Lefort, from April 14 to July 19 . This cultural event will offer the public the opportunity to discover the artist's entire artistic approach, within an emblematic heritage site of the city.
The Maison de Fer welcomes you from Tuesday to Sunday. Admission is free.
History:
The Maison de Fer in Poissy is an emblematic monument of the city's industrial and architectural heritage. Built in 1896, it was designed using a process invented by the Belgian engineer Joseph Danly, who patented a construction system using embossed metal sheets
The residence was commissioned by Georges F. de Coninck and his wife Isabelle Winslow, who made it their holiday home near the Seine, in a quiet and green setting
The house was listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments in 1975.
Over the years, it suffered damage, was abandoned, and was finally demolished by the storm of December 1999
In 2016, the city of Poissy became its owner. The building was rebuilt identically in Meissonier Park between 2018 and 2020, based on original plans and restored metal panels.
The reconstructed house was inaugurated on September 19, 2020, during the European Heritage Days.
The Maison de Fer is an unusual building, named for the materials used in its construction. Its structure, as well as its walls and roof, are entirely made of metal. It is built using a system of pressed steel sheet construction, patented by the Belgian Joseph Danly. Today, it is one of the rare testaments to a flourishing industrial era at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, when metal constructions were synonymous with innovation, modernity, and comfort.
