In 2016, Editions Gallimard gave carte blanche to Aki Kuroda who chose to invest in the world of William Shakespeare.
““To be or not to be”, Aki Kuroda tells us, is a phrase that inhabited my childhood without my really knowing its context”. As an adult, he developed a real passion for this text by the English playwright, which was a real source of inspiration. "This is a true collaborative work with Shakespeare that goes beyond time and space."
A "luxury" edition limited to 99 numbered copies;
Edition accompanied by two lithographs on BFK Rives paper, numbered and signed, produced at the Idem workshop, Paris. Silkscreened Plexiglas casing designed by the artist.
Another simple edition (without the lithographs and the box) available in an unlimited edition is also available.
