Yoyo Maeght is pleased to present the exhibition of Sergiu Ciochina, which will be held at 5 rue de Médicis, Paris 6th arrondissement.

For this exhibition, Sergiu Ciochina presents a collection of recent works where painting becomes a true field of experimentation. The surfaces are worked in layers, scratched, reworked, sometimes almost excavated.

Each canvas seems to bear the trace of an inner movement, a contained energy that surfaces. The colors vibrate, the sofas overlap, the lines emerge and then vanish. The eye is invited to wander, to lose itself, to feel.
