Aki Kuroda - TS1 Art Center - Beijing

In 2007, the TS1 Art Center in Beijing hosted a major exhibition by Japanese artist Aki Kuroda, a leading figure on the international contemporary scene. In this city in full artistic effervescence, Kuroda unfolded his dreamlike and labyrinthine universe, made of signs, passages, and vibrant shadows. Invited by Yoyo Maeght, a loyal accomplice of the artist, this project marked an important step in the dialogue between East and West, through a deeply free, poetic, and resolutely modern body of work.
