Michel Fraile - Biography

Michel Fraile is a French photographer and author with an eclectic background, whose insatiable curiosity fuels a multifaceted body of work. Insatiably, he travels through space as well as time.

Paul Valery's phrase: "I do my best, everything interests me" could be his motto, so "wide-angle" is his universe. 

Photography has always been a thread in his life... His gaze rests everywhere, sometimes with humor, always with tenderness...

According to his moods, he thus elaborates the image of a human nature that sometimes shakes up our schemes... His work is characterized by a narrative approach to the image, which becomes a space of fiction and poetry.

In the field of Aeronautics, he will publish several books dedicated to aviation icons: Concorde, A380, Boeing 747... Paris Sauvage, published in 2010,

will take us on a surreal and poetic visual fable, a Bear, a tiger, a zebra... visit and revisit Paris.

And then... travel, elsewhere, the human condition as a permanent source of inspiration, which questions the relationship between reality and imagination. 

His photographs are regularly exhibited in France. Between documentary and artistic creation, Michel Fraile's work testifies to a singular vision of the contemporary world and the narrative power of photography.
